As you know my name is Bianca R. and I am currently a sophomore at Temple University. I am 19 years old which may strike you as kind of young, but I have a lot of experience with children and teaching. I started off as a junior camp counselor when I was fourteen for a summer. I did this for about three summers throughout high school. As a camp counselor, I taught a lesson of my choice once a week. Preparing lesson plans became easier as time went on. I try to vary my teaching strategies because different students learn different ways.
When I came to Temple, I was introduced to TUteach, which is a program for students in the college of science and technology who are interested in teaching. Within this program we take education classes and are placed at different schools each semester. I've taught third grade, seventh grade, and this upcoming semester I'll be teaching high school students. I make my own lesson plans, which is how I'm graded and receive feedback from the teachers and my professor.
With these different aspects, I feel that I have a great deal of experience and will be able to provide your children with the best quality service. I like teaching and helping children because it gives them a sense of understanding and self esteem. When a child gets it and is confident in their work that makes me happy as a teacher because I helped that child feel good about their work.
