My experience as a local freelance designer as well as a seamstress has afforded me this opportunity to tutor local candidates in sewing, all aspects of designing clothing, examining materials/textiles, basic pattern drafting and alterations. In addition, we can examine various hand sewing techniques as well as garment embellishing.
I posses a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University and am currently pursuing my Master of Education from St. Joseph's University in Elementary Education. My sewing experience began as a small child using my mother's scraps to make doll clothes. I continued sewing/designing and in 2002 was able to open a local store here in Philadelphia. I have since relocated to my home. I have worked as a seamstress for Suky Rosen and as a costume designer for the University of Arts. I welcome any questions that you may have and am eager to assist you with any of your construction or design needs.
