*I am 43 years old holding a B.F.A. degree from Wilkes University ( 1991 ) and Master Degree level coursework from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science ( 1993 ). I am a two-dimensional designer who has taught art appreciation and studio art to students from 1st through 12th grade, and experience with art instruction dealing with adults.
I am both a traditional fine artist, and also a graphic designer/illustrator in digital graphics, but my passion and practice is primarily with traditional creation- (Drawing & Composition, 2-D Design, and Printmaking).
I am constantly producing work and my value placed on the visual arts is extremely high where I always have a need to produce more and grow stronger. It is one rewarding career, both in creating and teaching those who want to create. I would like to share my talents with individuals who have a strong interest in developing their potential and creativity.
Below is just one example of study which I would like to offer:
****The product brand of PRISMACOLOR colored pencils has intrigued and inspired me to create and produce astonishing and dynamic designs on paper over the years, and I would like to share its awesome potential with students of all ages, and what they are capable of doing, from highly detailed realistic subject matter to abstract.
Its effects can create handsome imagery through the use of shading and modeling to create the illusion of depth, or simply flat filled colored shapes/forms in stunning pattern designs. Many ask if the final works are actually paintings, when they are simply great drawings--from subject matter involving still life, architecture, natural forms, animals, and abstract elements, etc, etc.
You will be amazed with the endless possibilities that this dry medium can achieve. Come explore with me this exciting opportunity. My portfolio of the past 18 years and counting is a large body of two-dimensional design using PRISMACOLOR PENCILS, and I look forward to those who would like to delve into this striking design process with me!
