One of my favorite activities is tutoring students and helping them achieve academic success. I’ve tutored students for more than 20 years in many subjects ranging from mathematics to SAT / ACT / GRE and other standardized test preparation.
I help students
•hone their critical reading comprehension skills;
•master standard written English grammar, usage, punctuation, and composition;
•develop killer writing skills that will serve them well throughout their K-12 school years;
•discover exactly what is required of them so they can ace their all-important college essays;
•develop test-taking strategies and study skills; and
•improve their math aptitude so they can do well in school and beyond.
I also consult with students and their families to show them how to get accepted to their top-choice colleges and have the money to pay for it. Helping students and their families navigate the college admissions pipeline is critical if they want to be admitted to a college that’s the right fit for them.
I’ve helped countless students bring up their grades and improve their GPAs as they master crucial elementary and secondary school subjects. I can provide you with testimonials from satisfied customers.
I am also currently a primary educator and curriculum developer for home schooled students.
I am a trained life coach, specializing in career change and work-family balance issues. I help clients look inward to identify the values that resonate with them and subsequently align their most heartfelt values with their passions so they can find or create careers that lead them to their deepest fulfillment.
When you develop your talents and master a skill set, you can become the go-to person in any industry. I firmly believe that if you do what you love to do, you never have to work a day in your life.
I have worked as a college counselor for more than twenty years. I show students and their families how to get accepted to a college which is the right fit for them with the financial aid and scholarships that enable them to attend.

As part of my consultation, I also offer my SAT/ACT Test Preparation Program which has enabled my students to enroll in some of the finest colleges and universities in the country, including acceptances to: Princeton University, Williams College, University of Pennsylvania, Brown University, Wellesley College, Duke University, Rice University, Grinnell College, Connecticut College, Boston University, Gettysburg College, Wesleyan University, Tufts University, Pennsylvania State University, George Washington University, University of Virginia, and other such elite institutions.

I have been certified by the states of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey as an elementary teacher for grades K-8. From 2011-2013, I supervised an after school program at my local public school, where I also taught all aspects of cooking. I planned the lessons, purchased ingredients, and encouraged active participation by my students. They enjoyed the lessons tremendously. In fact, many students said that cooking was their favorite class.
I have also prepared menus for people with specialized diet requirements. I’ve worked with vegetarians, vegans, and raw foodists.
I am experienced in desktop publishing, and I have published several electronic books. Additionally, I have prepared several monthly newsletters about various subjects such as the college admissions process, study abroad, and building a successful home-based business. I’ve created fliers, business cards, and marketing materials such as blog headers, logos, webpages, book covers, and other electronic media.
I have been certified by the states of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey as an elementary teacher for grades K-8 and as a Reading Specialist (grades K-12). Although I have taught elementary school students beginning in 1970, I have taken time off to raise my own children. From 2011-2013, I supervised an after school program at my local elementary school, where I also taught various subjects such as social and emotional behavior, as well as cooking, gym, and other subjects. I also supervised homework help, music, etc. During the summers, I taught mad scientist experiments which the children adored.
I have tutored students to take and pass the ISEE so that they could gain admission to some of the top schools in the country. I am trained in educational testing and test administration, as well as in test-taking techniques and reducing test anxiety. I completed all of the coursework requirements for obtaining an advance degree in measurement and testing at one of the premier graduate schools of education in the United States.
I have used Microsoft Publisher as my platform of choice for all of my desktop publishing applications. I have published several downloadable books. Additionally, I have prepared several monthly newsletters about various subjects such as the college admissions process, study abroad, and building a home-based business. From 2011-2013, I used Microsoft Publisher to create my monthly “Spotlight Student” at the after school program that I supervised.
As a Reading Specialist (K-12), certified by both the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I taught phonics daily as part of my elementary school reading program.
