I am a recent college graduate looking to help out with people's writing, reading comprehension and-or Spanish speaking skills. I started studying Spanish in high school and continued in college where I studied abroad in Sevilla, Spain. I later spent 14 months after college in South America to practice my speaking skills. I have spent time in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and Spain. Being in so many different Spanish-speaking countries has given me a unique understanding of country specific grammar, vocabulary, intonation and accent changes and a solid foundation of neutral Spanish (or universal Spanish, understood by all Spanish speakers). Most importantly, my studies and travels have taught me the immense value of language study and the beauty of cultural exchanges that language study provides.
My teaching experience includes teaching elementary math, literacy and nutrition in elementary public schools during college and high school Spanish with the School District of Philadelphia teaching level II, III and AP.
I hope to share my passion for the Spanish language with others by helping them to achieve basic proficiency by focusing on basic grammar, pronunciation and conversational practice.
