I speak French fluently and Korean at an intermediate level. I have a Masters in Fine Arts from Temple University. I have also earned the Cambridge ESOL Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). For the past 8 years, I have worked all over the world as an educator, with students of all different ages and backgrounds. In Paris, I worked as tutor to native English speakers and ESL students. In Seoul, I was a university professor of English and digital imaging; I taught photography at a visual art center, and I taught English and art at the Seoul French School. I also tutored children on reading, writing and language arts.

My French course is designed to cater to your needs and interests. I am a proficient French speaker who has lived in Paris and worked at the Lycée Français. Conversation, useful "quotidienne" vocabulary, reading magazine articles, and films are common tools used in my lessons. I studied art at French universities and have travelled throughout the country. I can help guide you on your journey through all things français, including French culture, travel and cuisine.

ESL/ESOL

I have CELTA certification to teach English as a Foreign language to adults. I also have extensive experience teaching ESL and EFL to middle and high school students in a classroom setting as well as one-to-one.

Video Production

I am proficient in Final Cut Pro, iMovie and Adobe After Effects. I am experienced with a variety of amateur and professional video-recording equipment and can help a student master shooting, editing and post-production.

Drawing

I can offer formal lessons in drawing using a variety of media, including pen and ink, charcoal and pencil. As a former art student, I can provide guidance with portfolio preparation or simply the skills to draw a portrait, landscape, nude or still life.

Photography

I have a Master's degree in Photography and am familiar with all traditional and contemporary techniques:
Digital photography, including the use of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom;
Color and black & white film development;
Color and black & white darkroom printing;
Large format (view camera);
Studio Lighting;
Cyanotypes;
