Louis Y. in our first meeting was warm, personable, and a deeply knowledgeable interlocutor, and steeped in the subject to which he is introducing me (Arabic). We made good progress, though of course the rest of learning a new language is up to me. He certainly is exceptionally capable of making the language come alive. But so far we are only in Lesson 1!

As a professional instructor and translator with extensive experience, Louis brings energy and focus that I very much valued. His approach is thoughtful and deliberate - highly customized to the needs of the individual learner. My lessons consisted of writing exercises, readings with discussion and conversational exercises. Louis also provided rich, authentic learning material - from classic short stories to current news articles to Arabic music and poetry. Louis's passion for the Arabic language and helping learners in their journey made working with him a great experience. I highly recommend him.
