I tutor Arabic, English and English literature with all the required credentials and academic background to professionally tutor those topics. I have a B.A. in English (Literature, Linguistics and Translation) from the University of Baghdad and a master’s degree in English (World Literature) from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania where I was a Fulbright Scholar.
My work experience has been in the field of teaching languages, interpreting and cultural advising since 2003. I have held positions such as a Linguist, Cultural Advisor and the Head of Translators with institutions like the US Army, US Embassy Office and USAID in Iraq.
After obtaining my graduate degree in English literature, I worked as a Language Expert/Content Author at Rosetta Stone and taught Arabic language for a cross-cultural program at the university level in Virginia. Currently, I continue to work in the field by tutoring students Arabic and English as well as teaching different levels of Arabic courses at the university level. I am highly experienced with teaching Alif Baa as well as Alkitab. I also design my own materials that delve deeply into Arabic grammar, creative writing and other parts of the language.
Lastly, I would like to let you know that I always make sure to dedicate the first session to evaluate the student and see what are his/her needs and determine their exact level to design the teaching plan accordingly.
