I have a B.S. degree in Accounting and Finance from Purdue University. I am a Certified Six Sigma Champion (business process improvement techniques and programs). I am a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois as well as a Certified Professional Coach through iPEC, The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. I am also a certified personal finance/budget coach through Crown Financial Ministries.
I have 30 years of industry experience in senior accounting and finance roles with Motorola, IDEX Corporation, The McGraw-Hill Companies, and Shire Pharmaceuticals. I have recently started Hentzen Business Coaching, Inc., to help small business owners and corporate executives understand and energetically pursue their personal and business goals and dreams. I have presented numerous corporate training programs and industry presentations on accounting, internal controls and ethics.
I played on the varsity tennis team for two years at Purdue University and was a member of a state championship varsity high school tennis team in Wisconsin 3 of 4 years. I was a tennis instructor for two summers for my local recreation district as well as Bachman-Laing tennis camps in Wisconsin.
My coaching style is one of encouragement to help others grasp fundamental concepts so more complex topics can be learned and understood.
