As a student, some of my favorite subjects included literature and writing. As a teacher, I share my love of reading and writing with my students. I encourage my students to approach each genre with an open mind and open eyes. I believe that literature can take you to times and places of the past, as well as, the present and future. With each writers' workshop, my students are challenged to look at the world around them in a different light and to see writing as a craft to work at and fine tune. Tutoring is an opportunity for me to help a student discover a love of reading and develop an excitement for the written word on an one-on-one basis. The best part of teaching is the look of pride on a struggling student's face when he or she succeeds! Let me help put that look on your child's face!
