In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have worked with students with a variety of specific learning disabilities, cognitive impairments and emotional disabilities for fifteen years as a teacher of English and guidance counselor. Track & Field
I have been a life long runner and run about 25 miles a week. I am an assistant cross country coach at a public high school in New Jersey. I can help the beginning and intermediate runner improve in distance and speed with a variety of workouts customized to the runner. Mile repeats, long run days, tempo days and hill work are just a few of my approaches. I am very adept at weight room proficiencies as well.
