I am a certified Elementary (K-6) teacher with 5 years of varied experience. I have worked as a 2nd grade teacher, substitute reading specialist (20 weeks), middle school teacher's aid and kindergarten associate teacher.
I have experience with many reading intervention programs from my time working in a reading room and can provide your child with helpful strategies to improve his or her reading fluency and comprehension.
With each new student, I spend our first session prioritizing your child's needs and plan each following lesson based specifically on your child.
As a person, I am patient, understanding and an effective communicator. Your child will feel comfortable and be willing to ask questions as I am a good listener and I am capable of explaining myself in many different ways.
Most importantly (to your child)... I try to make learning FUN!
