I am a recent graduate of Millersville University, and I plan to begin my career as a secondary English teacher in two years when my son begins kindergarten. For now, I am a freelance writer and editor working from home. Along with my Bachelor of Science in English education, I received minors in both English as a Second Language (ESL) and linguistics. I graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.
I have the knowledge, skills, and resources to teach all aspects of ESL to children, adolescents, and adult learners. Beyond this, I recently finished a year-long teaching experience at a local high school. I have experience teaching the following subjects: grammar, SAT prep, American literature, British literature, writing, and vocabulary. I am extremely patient, and the most important part of my teaching philosophy is that I recognize that each student is unique and learns in his or her own way. I will create a learning plan for each student that is special, catering to the individual and his or her goals as the learner.
