I have degree in Mathematics from Drexel University. I taught 6,7,& 8 grade math -- all levels. I have tutored student all the way from 5th grade through high school.
I don't believe tutoring is just for students who are having difficulty in a subject. Undoubtedly, if a student is having a tough time keeping pace in a classroom, the one on one attention a tutoring session can provide is invaluable. It can afford the student an opportunity to ask questions they might be too shy or embarrassed to ask in front of all their peers. Or it can afford them the opportunity to grasp concepts at a pace more in line with their learning abilities. But sometimes tutoring can be an individualized supplement to a student's classroom education. Often, a students just need that extra guided session to cement a concept. To take student from a C+ to a B, or a B+ to an A.
I have had great success in the past in both scenarios. If you are in need of a tutor who can make your child feel comfortable with math, and help them understand the concepts they need to succeed on today's rigorous classroom environment , please reach out -- I would love to help.
