I'm a 2007 graduate of Middleburg High School. I believe math is so interesting and important because of its tie to seemingly every artisan of life, from chemistry to artworks to athletics to engineering to exploration, and the role which it plays within them. I got involved in tutoring via referral from my sister. I was a member of the National Honor Society and excelled in all subjects of study; mathematics was always one of my better ones however.

My experience as a tutor began in high school, when I volunteered to help fellow students when given the opportunity. I've assisted friends of my own and those of my sister with their works at college and high school. Besides what most would consider "freelance", I haven't done much tutoring until one suggested

I've been certified in Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. I am new to this site, but am looking forward to meeting and helping new students.

I can tutor at my home or I can meet elsewhere. If one resides further than ten miles away, I would be willing to travel for tutoring sessions at .75/mile; I'm willing to travel up to ten miles free of charge. Spring, summer, and fall, I am usually not available on the weekends. Available almost any time throughout the winter.

Elementary Education:
Elementary Math
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Prealgebra, Precalculus, Trigonometry

Algebra 1

The main goal of this course is to provide students with a thorough and extensive study of linear and quadratic functions and graphing on the xy-coordinate system. By the end of this course, students will have all the knowledge necessary to solve and graph equations and inequalities. They will also be able to apply this knowledge to other areas of math, such as word problems, ratios and proportions.

Algebra 2

To me, Algebra 2 was basically the more complex, more intricate following to Algebra 1. The same subject, but with longer, complex numbers and "drawn out" equations, primarily due to more enhanced and prolonged figuring of some mathematical predicaments, which are less than obvious.

Geometry is the branch of mathematics concerned with the properties and relations of points, lines, surfaces, solids, and higher dimensional analogs.

It has a part in engineering, design, architecture, navigation, and a number of other artisans; as well as a role in everyday tasks.
