Hola! My name is Laura and I am a middle school Spanish teacher. I graduated from West Chester University in 2009 with degrees in Elementary and Spanish Education. For the duration of the 2010-2011 school year, I taught abroad in Madrid, Spain in a bilingual school. During this year, I tutored several students and saw great improvements in their abilities. For the past two years I have taught Spanish to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a nearby district. I speak Spanish fluently and am continuing my studies at the graduate level. A great deal of my job as a teacher involves working with students one-on-one. For this reason, I believe that tutoring comes naturally to me. I like to challenge students to work to their potential. I believe that the role of a tutor is to help students to realize what they already know while providing the supplemental information for them to advance academically. I believe that the language-learning experience should be fun and interactive and I plan lessons accordingly. I look forward to meeting you and working with you!
