Hello,
I am a 1999 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Media/Graphic Design, with a minor in Studio Art. Through my studies, I gained a balanced skill set, which included a diversified curriculum in art, writing, social sciences, graphic design, and communications theory/technologies. My goal is to pass on my knowledge to students in these areas that have always been my particular strengths.
My recent experiences include visual art instruction to all age groups, but my passion for literature, history, social sciences, and the written word are all things I can assist you with as well. I can give you helpful constructive feedback on written projects, assist with English vocabulary and usage, and coach you with homework related to American History, European History, American Government, first year French, and help you get started with the dreaded end-of-semester term paper!
In addition, as a graphic designer and professional artist, I also offer additional instruction in Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Printmaking, and Graphic Design using Adobe Creative Suite, to youth and adults.
My goal as a tutor is to adapt and relate to YOUR needs and learning style in whatever way helps you to reach your goals. Are you a parent that has a child struggling with Reading, Spelling, or English skills? Are you a college-bound student that wants to polish up on writing skills before heading to your first college courses? Either way, know I am available to help! I start out reviewing your current work to assess skill level, and then we go over goals together. The result: to create an experience that fosters maximum growth in your subject area over a realistic and attainable period of time.
I would love the opportunity to assist you in your academic growth!
