My background includes five years of successfully tutoring high school students in all subject areas, homeschooling students unable to attend public school, 20 years teaching high school students in all subjects, and five years teaching elementary students. Not only do I have experience in all the basic subject areas I have a broad background in working with all levels and types of students. This includes but is not limited to college bound and multiple handicapped students.

Elementary (K-6th)

In my 25 years of teaching experience, I have taught all levels and ages 6 through 21 years of age. My last three years were spent teaching 1st through 6th grade special needs students in an elementary school.

My teaching and tutoring work has entailed teaching everything from letter and number formation to writing short essays and doing trigonometry. Tutoring for 15 years has enabled me to work with regular education students 4th grade through college level.

Special Needs

My first degree was a B.S. in Individual and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University. Next I earned a graduate level certification in Special Education from Mansfield University. I have accrued 25 years of experience teaching special needs children ranging from Learning Support to Life Skills. My experience also includes students ages 7 through 21 years.
