I am a part-time adjunct college professor at a local community college in Philadelphia, PA. I teach in the computer technologies department and have been in the computer field for more than 20 years. For more than 10 years, I have been instructing or training elementary, high school, higher education students, and working adults and educators. Most of these jobs were contracting positions although I have trained co-workers in profit and non-profit environments.
I have an A.A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems - Internet options and web development using HTML (GPA- 3.92) and graduating with highest honors in this concentration from Community College of Philadelphia, PA. I also graduated with a 3.96 GPA with a B.S. in Information Systems - Technology Management (Peirce College in Philadelphia, PA) and a Masters in Instructional Technology Management (4.0 GPA) from La Salle University also in Philadelphia, PA. I also am a ACA (Adobe certification in Communication in Rich Media - Adobe Flash CS5). I continue to learn new software and techniques for training purposes.
My Masters has provided me the expertise to work with students in an online or hybrid environment. I have the ability to provide edutainment which will provide my students with engaging activities and learning experiences. My goal is to partner with my students and provide feedback methods that will develop self-directed and life-long learners.

I am Adobe Certified Associate in using rich medial for communication. In Flash, the student will learn to use a timeline, frames, and layers to create animations that can be used in Dreamweaver or HTML web sites, in a standalone flash player or in e-learning modules that use Captivate, Articulate, or Adobe Presenter. Scenes can be created using vector images, bitmaps, videos, music and audio. Animations can be nested to create movement while also depicting other movement. Flash can also be used to created standalone rich media websites. I will show the student how to use masking layers to create dynamic scenes and to create buttons, movie clips and graphics for reuse as library items.
I have an Associate degree in web design and Internet options. I use Dreamweaver to create dynamic and static web pages. Dreamweaver uses HTML code and the student will learn how to create web pages without knowing HTML code by inserting images, and text from Word or text editors. Importing videos and audio to Dreamweaver will enhance the end users experience to the web page. We will use CSS sytle sheets and templates to make formatting and updating web pages easier. Dynamic web pages will be created by using Flash to provide rich media communication. Students will learn about setting project requirements and standard copyright rules.

Understanding the different mouse clicks and different shapes of the mouse and what they mean. How to use the Internet to do searches, save favorites and print.
Using the HTML to write code for web pages. Understanding forms, tables, CSS styles, APS, and other code techniques. Understanding the structure of HTML and how to insert multimedia into web pages.
I teach Excel 2010 to college students. The student will learn how to create and save a workbook, construct addition, subtraction, multiplication and division formulas. We will also learn about formatting spreadsheets how to create and format column charts and graphs. The lesson will also include basic calculations such as sum, min, max and count. Students will learn how to freeze and unfreeze panes along with how to create and sort tables.
Creating presentations that use transition and animation to provide multimedia to the audience. Understanding slides, outlines, along with slide layouts and templates. Using live preview and inserting Flash, clip art, smart art, video, audio and tables to enhance presentations. Rehearsing and timing presentation to meet time requirements.
I teach Windows 7 to college students. We learn how to utilize control panel to manage hardware, sound, programs, printers and other peripherals, networks and internet. Students learn how to change the appearance and personalize their computer. Windows also now offer an option to tag files for searching much like keywords in web pages. We will explore Microsoft accessories and the importance of the task bar. Students will also use internet tools to change the default browser and delete temporary files and cookies.
I teach Microsoft word to college students. The students learn how to create new documents and insert graphics (resizing and positioning) and other media. We learn about fonts (styles, sizes) and proofing your files using grammar and spelling. We will learn to format and organize text (margins, indents, paragraph spacing, format painting, copying, pasting, cutting, inserting and modifying headers and footers). Students will learn how to use footnotes, add citations and bibliographies required when doing class reports. The last part of the class will include using tabs, tables and columns.

We will insert audio, music and videos using HTML code. This class will explore creating web pages using free templates from Weebly, and Google.
