I've tutored math and English ever since I was in high school. One of my math teachers suggested that I help a few of my teammates, from the basketball & football teams in order to keep them eligible for team sports. It became so popular that our head coach donated his home to accommodate the growing number of my peers requiring tutoring.
After entering college, I continued tutoring teammates from both the men's & women's basketball teams using a more personal, one on one approach. As I entered the workforce, I aided many co-workers by preparing them to take and pass college entrance test as well as their first few semesters of college math.
Currently, I tutor my 8 year old daughter along with several of her classmates and a few children from my Church home from the basics of math up to pre-algebra. I've always had a love of algebra and specialize in tutoring it, but I wholeheartedly believe that in order to excel in algebra the fundamentals of math (basics) have to be fully grasped.
My tutoring style is simple yet effective. I believe in patience, encouragement, patience, repetition, real life application, individualization, building confidence/self confidence and patience.
