Physics and math can be a daunting task to many students, and some teachers don't make it any easier with either over-simplistic explanations that don't help or no explanations at all. As a physics teacher with degrees in Math and Physics, I am aware of the areas of struggle students can experience and how to cut through to the heart of the issue. I believe in tutoring students to both help them understand the material first but also understand the teacher's style and how to accommodate to succeed in the class. I specialize in working with honors and advanced students and know how to tutor to complement and build on what the teacher is doing to keep a coherent understanding framework for the student.
