My two main work experiences over my undergraduate career have been technology and foreign language education. Often, the two have combined. Below are my approaches to both:
Regarding technology, I have experience in website design (Wordpress websites and blogs, Blogger blogs/websites), photo editing (Photoshop), audio editing (Reaper Audio, Audacity), video production (Final Cut Pro) and general technology operations (how to use a still shot camera, video recorder, voice recorder). Hands-on experiences in various environments have allowed me to create professional products relevant to all situations and impressive for 21st century technology. I have worked with and taught such programs and technologies ranging from students of 12 years of age to high schoolers to college undergrads to adults. It is my job to help you understand the technology for yourself and what makes a good multimedia product so that you may make your own original product.
My other domain is foreign language education, mainly Spanish and English but also French. I have experience teaching students directly in three school districts (2 in rural Virginia, one in Madrid, Spain) as well as working at a full-immersion Spanish program this summer. through meaningful conversation, real world examples of rules, grammar and relating material to my students' daily lives. Through meaningful conversation, real world examples of rules, grammar and relating material to my students' daily lives, I will increase your language proficiency. I will not tell you the answers, but guide you through the language learning process with constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar and listening to native speakers to increase your proficiency.
