I have been a curious student my whole life and I like to pass on not just knowledge, but my love of learning. I graduated High School with a GPA above 4.0 and immediately joined the US Navy in their Nuclear Propulsion program. I spent 4 years in the Navy learning about nuclear reactors and then decided to start a family when I got out. Since then I have finished my BS in Physics with a minor in Math graduating Cum Laude. I also was inducted into the physics honor society, Sigma Pi Sigma, having attained a GPA in Physics of over 3.0.

I also enjoy reading and writing and love helping others to appreciate grammar, spelling, and writing with a purpose. It really makes me happy to find a way to help a student learn the material they are struggling with. Learning should not be confined to school, it should be a part of our everyday lives.

Having experienced so many different environments in my life, I have learned not only a large amount of information, but I have also learned how to translate that information so that others can understand it as well. Because we all learn differently, it is important to find a tutor that can modify her teaching style to fit what the student needs to learn. I believe with my experience and knowledge that I can help nearly any student gain proficiency in the subject they are currently struggling in and hope to help them gain confidence along the way.

Study Skills

I regularly help students organize their materials, find references in their books that will allow them to study on their own, and apply the knowledge they already have to learning new material. By learning how to organize, plan, and break large projects into manageable pieces, many of my students improve their grades and relieve a great deal of stress from their school lives. The parents of these students tell me they've seen a great improvement since I began working with their children.

Linear Algebra

I passed Linear Algebra with an A in the Fall of 2010 at Kutztown University.

Needlework

I have completed many projects over the last 20 or more years in cross-stitching, sewing, and crochet. I have made full size blankets in crochet. I have sewn various items including clothing, blankets, and toys. I have also completed hundreds of cross-stitching projects that have been bought including bookmarks, house decorations, wedding and birth samplers, and many others. I have taught many people these skills including adults and children.
