To Whom It May Concern:

I am an English teacher with seven years' experience looking to fill my schedule with new students. While I have a certain skill with struggling learners I am more than comfortable, and competent in dealing with honors or Advanced-Placement students. During my time with the NYC Department of Education I have participated in an array of trainings which have allowed me to develop into a secure classroom teacher. I feel my strong classroom management along with my willingness to plan around my students, enables me to develop learning plans which mold to any student I have.

While my certification is in 7-12th grade English I am knowledgeable in numerous other subject areas. I also specialize in organization and self-management. Through my years of dealing with troubled youth I have developed excellent techniques to aid students in self-control and organization. These skills have aided a wide variety of students including students with; ADD/ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, ED, dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.

While much of my time is spent with struggling learners I am also well versed in the AP English exam, and am able to assist in mastering many AP writing sections. Needlework

I learned to cross-stitch and needlepoint from my great-grandmother. From a young age she had me working on an array of samplers and practice pieces. Today, I have mastered the majority of the stitches and knots one would need to complete any project.

In recent years I have taught myself how to crochet and I am currently honing my skills in knitting.
