I truly enjoy working on-on-one with students and watching them reach their potential. I have a love for pre-algebra-algebra II, and have a great deal of experience tutoring in this area. I also have a passion for astronomy and geology, and have tutored students in various areas of science. I have helped students to prepare for entrance examinations for private schools, as well as state achievement tests. I believe in empowering students to become independently proficient in the subject matter. I provide instruction and solid examples, but I believe in a great deal of independent practice. I often assign work to be done in between sessions in order to asses proficiency. I believe every child is capable of mastering their subject of choice; it is a my job as a tutor to find the best method to help them do so.
