Hi, and thanks for visiting my profile. I'd like to tell you about my style as I think that will determine how well we work together. The two things that define are this: I am a mom, and an entrepreneur. What this means is that I'm understanding and fair, but I will also let you know when it's time to get down to business to deliver results. You're looking for a tutor to help you become more proficient at something - you need to get from point a to point b - and for that to happen you and I need to create results. But we can still have some fun - I know that my kids learn more quickly when they aren't afraid of the topic - and there's room for humor, too! If we both work hard and do our best, you will learn new things and I will feel great that I helped you!
I've worked as a professional writer and graphic designer for almost 20 years. I've worked in publishing and social media marketing for companies from Delaware to Philadelphia to Manhattan. My job has taken me all around the world to teach and speak, and I've even been lucky enough to present at SXSW for the last two years (if you don't know why this is such an honor, ask me...it's a great story!). Now I work for myself as a writer and marketer for clients. One of the best things about my many jobs has been mentoring people and helping them reach their full potential, and this is why I want to tutor as well.
