From instruction with John, my daughter was able to bring up her Math score on the SAT test 140 points! Her overall scoring total well above 2000! John did a great job of identifying my daughter's SAT testing needs and putting together a plan with a timeline to prepare her for the test. Great tutor, always on time and great academic background. My son is in the 9th grade, so I needed a tutor that had a strong secondary educational background. His English grade went up three grade levels. John was great! When my son gets to the 10th grade I will definitely call on John again for his SAT prep.

John B. was very professional and astute in picking up on the first meeting that my son needed extra tutoring on his writing portion of the SAT and thoroughly going over tips to improve that. I was especially impressed that he was always on time and got straight to business with preparing my son. Although we have not received my son's new scores, my son and I believe that the tutoring has benefited him. I would recommend John B. for any tutoring needs and having other children I will definitely use him again in the future.

John has been working with our 12 year old son for just a few sessions and already our son is more inspired about math. No longer does he roll his eyes in frustration. John gave him new ways of "seeing" math, which for a visual learner was a huge help. Always prepared, bringing new ideas, approaches and even Power Point presentations, John is quite motivating. Our son loves to learn new math concepts, but struggles with the boring basics and John is successfully getting him over his obstacles. I am a busy homeschooling mom who also runs her own business, and John's punctuality has also been a blessing.

John is working with my daughter. She's not always the most enthusiastic middle school student. She has a great rapport with John. He's teaching her to write better essays for the ISEE. He has given her great advice, edits and corrections. I am excited to see what else he can show her to improve her overall grammar and language skills.

I can not recommend a better tutor then John, he takes the time to understand what you're personal needs are and then helps to achieve them. This is great, for in the fact that there is so much information that could be covered however all this information is not necessarily information that you are learning or want to learn. To me this is very important in that when I asked him to send me documents to work with John immediately sent the documents to me, allowing me to better practice my understandings.
