I was very fortunate to have found Laura to tutor my son. He must pass a business calculus course at Pitt in order to graduate. She provides the expertise, mathematical knowledge, and patience to instruct him. She works many hours preparing every detail of his complicated lessons. She is always extremely organized,punctual and very conscientious. She diligently reports what she has accomplished during each instructional tutoring session. She is very mathematically gifted and has the ability to explain complicated concepts with ease. My son feels very comfortable working with her. I hired Laura as a tutor for my daughter who was taking college level general chemistry. I can't say enough good things about her. She was able to break down the material into understandable concepts. Laura was available at all times; day and night. She was willing to tutor on the 4th of July, Sunday nights, mornings at 8am and was willing to tutor at a variety of locations, including Barnes and Nobles, the Greensburg library, and Westmoreland County Community College. She even tutored once while she was ill and on antibiotics. She was always prepared with work sheets and practice tests and tried to stay one step ahead of the teacher. Laura was a real gem with a genuine desire to see my daughter succeed. I would highly recommend her to anyone struggling with chemistry.

She prepared worksheets, went over topics with him that would be covered in class and had him make flashcards, to help him study after the session. Our daughter struggled through Algebra II last year, so we enrolled her in a learning center. Her grades only improved slightly. The center was not convenient and lacked individual attention.
This year we chose Laura as her tutor for College Algebra/Trigonometry. We've seen an improvement of almost two letter grades. We are very pleased with her progress as she needed to pass the course to graduate next year.

Laura has been a great asset in my children's academics. Originally she was tutoring my daughter in ACT prep and calculus. When my son began having issues with honors geometry we sent him to Laura as well. She has been amazing with both of them. Definitely goes above and beyond.
