The world we live in is ours to explore; you just have to look up. The excitement of discovering the wonders of science should be developed in every student! Man has not invented anything the nature hasn't modeled already. A simple bacteria has a flagella that can spin at 10,000 times per minute, stop within a quarter of a turn, then start the other way. Man can't come close to that motor!
I have been teaching Horticulture, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry and Physical Sciences in an intercity private high school in Philadelphia for four years. As important as the science curriculum, I have encouraged sound study techniques, proper preparation, and a sense of self worth.
My success in motivating students in the exciting world around us, coupled with helping them realize they need a studious attitude as well as their importance in the environment itself has made a difference in students lives.
