I am a Princeton University graduate with an A.B. with honors in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Currently, I am attending Harvard's Health Careers Program. I have been tutoring students (ages ranging from 5-22) for over 10 years in subjects including, but not limited to, SAT/ACT prep, math, biology, chemistry, study skills and French. All of my students have seen drastic improvements in their grades and/or standardized testing scores. As part of WyzAnt, I am interested in tutoring SAT/ACT preparation, as well as middle school and high school level math, biology, English, study skills and college application advice. I am willing to provide my high school and college level GPAs in addition to ACT and SAT scores to those interested.
As a person who thrives on intellectual stimulation, I love nothing more than sharing my interests in learning with others. I become personally invested in the success of all of my students and thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction my students express upon mastery of a subject. I recognize that each student is unique and my priority is to understand both a student's strengths and weaknesses and to utilize their strengths to overcome any challenges posed by the material. I am a very creative person, and I am not afraid to think outside the box to present the material in new ways.
My schedule is flexible, and I am willing to travel to a public location for tutoring sessions (e.g., public library, coffee house). My baseline rate is $100/hour. Prices are negotiable.
On a more personal note, I love biology and field work and especially love studying animal behavior. I thoroughly enjoy traveling, wildlife photography, theater, piano and playing tennis.
