Dear Student,

I've got to admit I am currently busy as a Pre-Calculus Instructor and Accountant of an out-of-town academy. However, I really enjoy assisting people with their tutoring needs as well. Therefore, whether you are struggling with your accounting, math, microeconomics or Spanish class, or if you just want to improve your grades from B's to A's, I am able to help during early evenings and/or weekends.

I hold two degrees: one in Economics (1994) and an MBA (1999), as well as a total of 19 years of experience in teaching and practical working experience. During my teaching experience, I have worked as a university professor, as a professional tutor and teaching assistant at the college level, and as a Spanish language consultant/translator and tutor for all ages. Also, I have worked as a financial and economics analyst by supporting senior management decisions that improved the performance of the organizations for which I have worked.

I have taught and/or tutored Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus, Microeconomics, Financial Accounting, Banking, Operational Research and Market Research, among other subjects, which I could help with as well.

My students always leave my sessions thanking me for helping them to understand the most difficult class material step by step and for boosting their self-confidence.

Also, I have been a member of the following organizations: American Translators Association, American Mensa, National Society of Hispanic MBAs and Mensa International.

In summary, I offer you tutoring services with the professionalism, patience and respect you deserve. Please, feel free to send a message with your availability and specific tutoring needs to see if we can arrange a first meeting.

Sincerely,

Iris Y., MBA

Accounting

Financial Accounting.

Business

During my Master in Business Administration I took several courses related to the development of business plans. I can help develop and review all the stages of business plans (e.g. students' project, start-up organizations).

Econometrics

I took Econometrics during my years of college. I can help with the basic level that uses the application of statistical methods to the testing and estimation of economic relationships.

Marketing

I have taught at the university level subjects such as Marketing 101, Marketing I, and Market Research (Marketing II). Also, I took during my Master degree in Business Administration classes such as Marketing Management and International Management. Please read below the descriptions.

Marketing 101 and Marketing I: refer to the marketing fundamentals or principles of marketing that any business or economics student must learn during their college years. Here you learn concepts such as the "5Ps"--Product, Promotion, Price, Place, and Positioning.

Market Research: is a more advanced subject that actually engages in real market research projects for real companies in order to help their management solve a specific marketing problem. More specifically, introduces primary and secondary data collection and analysis as a means to assess consumer behavior and develop effective marketing strategies; incorporates the use of technology in data collection and analysis.

Marketing Management: Marketing concepts of planning, organization, control, and decision making from viewpoint of the business executive. Stress on tools available for analysis and control of marketing activities.

International Marketing: This course provides students with methods for analyzing world markets and their respective consumers and environments, and to equip students with the skills in developing and implementing marketing strategies and decision making in international contexts.

Spanish

Spanish grammar, conversational Spanish.

Study Skills

As a college student I was able to achieve the highest possible Honor a student can receive: Summa Cum Laude. I attribute this achievement to my instinctive time management and study skills, which I can share with other students.

Also, during my Professional Tutor training at East Stroudsburg University, I received information on how to help students achieve their maximum potential in academic environments.

With me, students will learn several researched based strategies in order to improve test taking, note making, research, computer, organization, time management and study skills.
