I have been a teacher, tutor, coach, umpire and have worked with children of all ages and learning styles in different capacities for many years. I am prompt, professional, patient, caring and I listen to faculty, parents and the student/child to structure a lesson plan and help the child reach mastery of the task(s) at hand. I work primarily with children in grades K-6, as I hold a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education, where I graduated Cum Laude from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Public Speaking

I was asked to make a final presentation for my Elementary Education Level 3 class before graduating. It was a challenge for me but I was applauded and received an A.

The speech involved key points that I would recommend in teaching the subject of Public Speaking, such as a firm grasp of the subject matter, the speech itself being well written on cue cards, practice/rehearsal, overcoming nervousness, pacing/speech and targeting the audience/techniques (use of humor, media, etc.).
