I recently graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a B.A. in Studio Art. I switched to Studio Art in my last year of school from Art Education.
I have experience teaching art to students from age 9 to 18. I have experience constructing lessons plans which meet standards in art education and address the needs of the learner(s).
I have the most experience with drawing (pencil, ink, charcoal) but I am also proficient in painting (acrylic, oil, water color), woodwork, photography, Adobe Photoshop, bronze casting, and conceptual art.
Most lesson plans I create touch on four integral parts of art education: art production, art criticism, art history, and aesthetics. These four areas of art education create a full and well-rounded learning experience.
Depending on the particular goals and preferred medium of the student, a one-time materials fee will be determined after the first tutoring session. The materials fee can range from $20 to $300.
