I am a recent college graduate looking to help other students along the way on their educational path. I attended Houghton College in western New York state, where I received an undergraduate degree in Christian Formation (a Christian Education degree). I am currently accepted and ready to begin a term at Regent College, a grad school in Vancouver, British Columbia, in January of 2013, where I will pursue an M. Div. to become a full-time pastor. I have previously tutored as a writing tutor at Bucks County Community College, leaving in order to attend Houghton.

Writing basic essays and prompt responses are my specialties, but I also have working knowledge in Spanish, art history, proofreading, public speaking, basic math, basic science, and many other things that are good to know as life skills. I can't promise straight A results in anything (no tutor really can), but I can promise cheerful advice and encouragement in everything as you pursue strengthening your educational acumen.

Study Skills

I worked as a writing tutor at Bucks County Community College, where a number of sessions were devoted to studying and study methods. I was trained in helping students to develop good study habits, and furthermore, some of the students I helped had grades that greatly improved after we had worked together developing their study skills.

Religion

My college degree program was in Christian Formation, a subset of my college's religion department. I have taken Systematic Theology, Bible classes, and a rough overview of world religions.

Bible Studies

My college degree is in Christian education. I have taken college courses specifically on teaching Bible study, with instruction provided for all age levels. I have led a number of studies, ranging from Jr. High to adult.
