I have worked as an English tutor and classroom assistant at Temple University's Russell Conwell Center for the past two years, working with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Through this experience I have learned what methods are most effective to facilitate students' learning and focus on an individual student's most prominent skills, using those skills to help foster progress in areas that lack proficiency. These students have ranged from graduating high school seniors to college sophomores, but I am willing and able to tutor students at any age level.
Along with English I am also able to tutor Spanish. I recently returned from a five-month intensive study program at the University of Oviedo, Spain, which has given me practical experience with Spanish language and language development. I pair this with a pre-existing understanding of Spanish and my tutoring experience to help students improve speaking and writing skills in Spanish as well as English, and am able to assist ESL students.
