Hello students, parents, and potential clients!
I am currently looking for several highly motivated students who want to take their math
skills to the next level. It's my goal to help my students achieve 100% of their potential and to make math a less stressful subject for them.
Math is not magic! It is a skill and anyone can learn a skill. I won't lie and say that there is any quick route to math or science success. It will require independent work, study and practice, outside of not only the classroom but outside of independent lessons.
I do SAT
I & II test prep, AP test prep, and homework help. Currently, I am working to advance one of my student's math education beyond what's being offered in class, and would certainly do so for anyone who wants to get ahead and possibly test out of a class. I would definitely like to try my hand at homeschooling.
I answer all the questions that students don't want to answer in class for fear of "looking stupid." I will get you back on the bandwagon if you are behind in class and if you are cruising, I can introduce new, challenging material. I will help you achieve that test score that will look oh-so-nice on your college application
. Drop me an email
if you're interested in grabbing the math bull by the horns!
Also, feel free to check out my blog to see that I am actually a real human being and not some impersonal profile!

Here's some reviews from my Drexel students :
Physics 201 : Modern Physics, Spring Quarter '13
"Best TA I've ever had. Extremely knowledgable, extremely helpful, always entertaining."
"The instructor was great. He provided different methods of teaching that helped me understand certain concepts in a number of different ways. The instructor was enthusiastic and provided great examples."
"Karsten is the only reason I am passing physics. This is the only place I learned physics. I wish I had him freshman year in physics. Karsten would be an absolutely phenomenal professor and I guarantee he will spread a greater understanding and appreciation for physics."
"The most beneficial aspect of this recitation was definitely the instructor. Chu taught with enthusiasm and great knowledge. He made the recitations fun by injecting humor into the conversation of the work at the appropriate times. He clarified many things in lecture that the lecture was not clear about. I would highly recommend Chu as a T.A. in the future."
"Karsten for president"
