I have no official experience tutoring. However, I find myself helping out my fellow students often in the college courses I am currently taking. I am in a transition period of my life; I am back in college and loving it. I love to learn and I love gaining new knowledge and insights through education. I believe strongly in the value of a good education. Right now, I am mostly studying biology and chemistry and I don't know exactly where it is taking me but I believe it will take me somewhere. Graduate school is a definite goal of mine; I just have not narrowed down my interests enough to know exactly what to focus on. Something involving biochemistry or molecular biology is what I am looking at.
About my tutoring abilities: I am very knowledgeable about a great many things and this knowledge continues to grow as I further my education. Many of my peers in my organic chemistry class have found my ability to explain concepts as very helpful for them. I am very comfortable working with persons from any background, race, religion, ethnicity, etc. Many of my peers come from very diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds and I enjoy learning about other cultures (especially food). I have a very friendly and engaging approach and I really try to understand the exact needs of the individual and come up with the best way so that individual can learn whatever it is they want to learn effectively.
About me: As I've said, I love to learn and I love to meet new people. By far, my favorite subject is science. I love all the sciences. I also like mathematics; I am in the process of updating these skills in calculus. My areas of interest in science include: neuroscience, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, psychopharmacology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, biologics, general biology, physiology, biophysics, physics, and atomic chemistry.
