I then was educated further and got my teaching certificate for math and science at the secondary level and taught in school systems for over 10 years.

I can help with your algebra, chemistry, physics, precalculus classes. Please send me an email and we can work on details about where to go from there. Looking forward to hearing from you. Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

As a former high school algebra teacher, I have a varied knowledge of this subject. With my undergraduate degree in meteorology, a wide range of math classes was required, from Algebra to calculus to statistics and probability. I also tutored students in passing the MCAS (a standardized test in Massachusetts) which was highly based on algebra.

Algebra 2

As a former high school algebra teacher, I have a varied knowledge of this subject. With my undergraduate degree in meteorology, a wide range of math classes was required, from Algebra to calculus to statistics and probability. I also tutored students in passing the MCAS (a standardized test in Massachusetts) which was highly based on algebra.

Biology

As a high school teacher, I was asked to teach biology several times in my career. Even though I did not major in biology, I have an understanding and love of life, which is what biology is all about.

Botany

I have a love of plants. I enjoy gardening and have taught genetics and biology at the high school level as part of a biology class.

Differential Equations

I took differential equations as a meteorology major in college and also helped advanced math high school seniors with this subject. I tutored them as well as taught the basics of this subject to help them in their AP math courses. My math skills match up well with being able to help students in differential equations.

Discrete Math

I am a former high school math teacher that used to teach and tutor math students in discrete mathematics. Probably by strongest field is logic and probability in discrete mathematics.

GED

As a high school teacher, I had plenty of experience teaching a wide range of tests including various science and math classes. I also helped students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and thus I can help you pass the GRE.

Geometry

As a high school math and science teacher, I taught the basics of geometry so I have a good understanding of the subject. Hopefully I can pass this understanding on to you.

GRE

As a high school math and science teacher, I have a wide range of knowledge that may help you do better in standardized tests.I have experience in taking and tutoring for standardized tests such as the GRE and SAT and I hope to be able to pas this knowledge on to you. I took the GRE as I was thinking of pursuing the subject of global warming at the graduate level.

Linear Algebra

As a former high school algebra teacher, I have a varied knowledge of this subject. With my undergraduate degree in meteorology, a wide range of math classes was required, from Algebra to calculus to statistics and probability. I also tutored students in passing the MCAS (a standardized test in Massachusetts) which was somewhat based on linear algebra.

Logic

I took in college, while majoring in meteorology, a course on mathematical logic. I use logic every day on the job as a meteorologist and in every day life.

Physical Science

As a meteorology major in college and now a meteorologist as a living, I have a great background and understanding of the working of the atmosphere and the Earth, which is a huge part of physical science.

Prealgebra

As a high school math and science teacher, I have a great understanding of math, including prealgebra. As a meteorology major in college, I took a wide range of math ranging up to calculus and differential equations so I have a great understanding and background in math

PSAT

As a high school math and science teacher, I have a varied knowledge and have taught a wide range of classes from physical science to algebra to geometry. I also helped students prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT and PSAT as a tutor so I have experience in teaching this subject.

Study Skills

As a former tutor in the math sections of standardized testing, I can help students organize their thoughts onto paper. Also, I can help them realize and improve their skills with organization in terms of keeping detailed written notes.

Zoology

I have a love of animals and have a wide range of knowledge about them. I consider myself an amateur herpetologist because of my love and knowledge of snakes, especially reptiles. I have several kingsnakes and bullsnakes as pets and also raise rats to feed them. I have taught biology in high school that also had a section on zoology.
