Hello potential students and parents of these young pupils, my name is Victoria. I am currently a second-semester freshmen at Northampton Community College that is majoring in Sociology-Archaeology. I have a strong background in math, science, music, and the English language. I not only excel in these subjects, I am also passionate about them.
I have been playing the trumpet for 7 years (jazz, classical, marching, etc.) and I have taken AP music theory in high school, along with music 101 in college. I have privately tutored many students when it comes to the techniques involved in developing proper tone, embouchure, fingerings, marching steps, keeping time, etc. It is something that just comes naturally to me.
Before I became a sociology major, I was a physics-math major---quite the change, I know. I have always enjoyed algebra-based mathematics, so helping others understand them is just as enjoyable as teaching myself. I can help you memorize simple concepts such as quadratic equations, point-slope form, equations of lines, vertex form, axis of symmetry, factoring, etc. Anything you need, I can provide.
When it comes to the English language, I am in love. I enjoy classical and taboo literature, alongside learning and teaching new vocabulary terms. I specialize in college level English papers, or any paper you need written. You give me the facts, I will help you outline, build and create an "A" paper! After all, if I have yet to receive a grade lower than an "A", why shouldn't you?
I am registered on this website because by being a college student it is difficult to find a good paying job that is flexible and also enjoyable. I have worked as an assistant to the fine arts directors along with the computer lab and photography lab technician here at NCC, and I am in desperate need of a job that makes me feel like I am making an impact upon someones life other than my own. I take pride in my work, no matter how large or small the task is. I always get it done and I always do what is best for everyone around me. Who knows, maybe I'll end up learning a bit from you!
