ACT Math

Certified algebra 1 and 2, geometry, trigonometry, and SAT math tutor with skills that are readily transferable to tutoring and instructing concepts and approaches that can be used for the ACT Math test.

Algebra 1

Experienced college chemistry instructor with strong math skills to tutor students in algebra I and II, geometry, and trigonometry.

Algebra 2

College chemistry instructor and tutor with excellent math skills in algebra 1 and 2 as well as geometry and trigonometry. I have tutored multiple students in preparation for math sections of the SAT and GRE.

Chemistry

I am an experienced college and high school chemistry tutor. I currently teach both organic chemistry and general chemistry at local community colleges. I also tutor all chemistry courses at local community colleges.

GED

I am an experienced GED tutor who can assist with preparation to take the GED exam. I have strong math skills and am able to successfully tutor students in understanding math concepts essential to passing the GED. I am currently tutoring several students in GED preparation.

Geometry

College chemistry instructor and tutor with excellent math skills to assist students in algebra 1 and 2 plus geometry and trigonometry. Current experience in tutoring GED math preparation.

GRE

I am an experienced tutor with excellent math and reading skills to leverage for preparation with multiple standardized tests such as the SAT, GRE, ACT, GED.

MCAT

I currently teach the MCAT preparation course for Kaplan. I also tutor individual students who are preparing to take the MCAT. When I took the MCAT in preparation for Kaplan training, my overall score was a 41 which ranks in the 99th percentile.

Organic Chemistry

I am an experienced college and high school chemistry tutor. I currently teach both organic chemistry and general chemistry at local community colleges. I also tutor all chemistry courses at local community colleges.

Physical Science

Experienced college and high school chemistry tutor with excellent understanding of the physical sciences. Have taught general chemistry and organic chemistry at both community colleges and 4-year universities. Currently actively tutoring chemistry with college students.

Prealgebra

Excellent math skills in algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and trigonometry from an experienced college chemistry instructor and tutor. Experienced in preparing students for math portion of GED.

Public Speaking

I am an experienced public speaker who has delivered technical presentations to large audiences of scientists and technical experts. I have also prepared and presented business strategy and marketing sessions to audiences consisting of CEO's and other company executives. I teach chemistry classes on a regular basis. I am comfortable in presence of large audiences. I use multiple techniques to engage the audience as well as personal stories and experiences to enhance the message.

SAT Math

Strong math skills in prealgebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and trigonometry from an experienced college chemistry instructor and tutor. Experienced in preparing students for math portion of GED.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
