I have been teaching for 7 years and graduated Cum Laude from KU's Masters of Education program. I currently teach Art History, Sculpture, and Photography in an award winning program at Central High School in Philadelphia. Central High is a college-prep Magnet school that has recently been awarded Blue Ribbon status. This means that our school and our programs are ranked one of the highest in the country. We are, in fact, the only Blue Ribbon high school in the entire state of PA.
I have empowered students to win state and national competitions. The most recent of which lead me to receiving a gold medal at Carnegie Hall in NYC. My teaching style is simple. I use a process I have entitled 'Bread Crumbing' in which I slowly increase the challenges of the student while along the way building a skill set they will continue to use and improve as they traverse the program. As they slowly take step after step they eventually move very far from where they started without even noticing. I believe that this technique can be applied to any subject area. I have sincere passion for teaching and look forward to helping you find success.
