Hello to My Future Students!
Let me introduce myself...my name is Cynthia and I love to teach math! I received my BA degree in Mathematics from Temple University, then continued my studies and got an MBA in Marketing from Temple University.
I was looking for a part-time job while raising my four children, and decided I wanted to teach. I have been a college math instructor and private tutor for more than 25 years now. I've taught part-time at three nearby universities, including Temple, Penn State, and Arcadia University. I've also taught math at Montgomery County Community College for many years. I've consistently received high marks from student evaluations after each semester. My students have found me to be caring, understanding, and very interested in their individual success. They wrote that I created a stress-free learning environment; making math seem easy and fun. I explain every math concept in a logical, methodical, step-by-step manner.
I've recently started working for WyzAnt, as I particularly enjoy the one-on-one experience of tutoring students of all ages. I am concentrating solely on tutoring now, so I am available everyday of the week (including weekends) morning, afternoons, and evenings. I have raised my four children, and now I am available to you and your children, anytime, in your home or mine, or a local library. You can call me or email me for an appointment.
In general, I prefer teaching basic math, prealgebra, algebra I, and algebra II. These courses are the building blocks of higher mathematics, and if I can give my student a good foundation of math knowledge, then I feel confident that he or she will have a better chance to succeed in higher education, and in their future life. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I have helped someone reach their full potential academically!
I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you or your child get on that road to success!
