Teaching has been at the core of my entire life. I have more than 25 years of formal teaching experience in Business, Math, Science, History and Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, Italian and Japanese).

I am currently a part-time professor at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and Tulsa Community College in the continuing education department.

I began my teaching career in Tulsa in 1989 then Paris, France in 1993 where I lived and worked in the fashion industry and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business Management and Marketing with a minor in Mathematics at the American University of Paris.

I also hold several other degrees from various institutions in the US, France, and Italy including a Master's in Business Administration and certifications in the Italian and French language.

I have worked in the classroom in both college and high school settings, for corporate clients, the US military as well as private individuals.

I spent nearly 7 years attaining my degrees in higher education and attended 6 different institutions: Tulsa Community College; University of Tulsa; American University Paris; Ecole Superieur de Mode (Paris); ENSEAD France; Dante Alighieri Scuola (Paris); Lorenzo de' Medici (Florence).

My early college career I was an Engineering major and focused heavily on Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Geometry and Calculus. This was the reason I attained a minor in Mathematics. I still really love teaching AP Chemistry Prep and High School Math classes such as Algebra, Algebra 2 and Geometry.

Much of my teaching career has focused on Foreign Language Instruction. I speak more than 7 languages and a little in about 4-5 more: English; French; Spanish; Italian; Japanese; Arabic; German; as well as a little Portuguese, Russian, Albanian, Czech, Dutch and Papimento, which is spoken in the Caribbean. Additionally, for a 5 year span I worked as an interpreter and translator in and out of the French language for corporations and the US military.

I am a world traveler and a Scuba Diver and hold a level of Master Scuba Diver and Dive Master. I travel a lot with my work and for fun. Absorbing new things and experiencing other cultures is a big part of my life, as is history and archaeology.

I have lived and worked in many different countries: US, Canada, France, Italy, UK, and the Caribbean. This has been the main reason for the great many languages that I speak and have lived and worked in.

I hold numerous patents and am a published author. In 2003, I wrote, "The 10 Commandments of Successful Business: the Foundation to Shopper Marketing", which I use in my marketing and management courses that I teach. I also have numerous treatises published on historical subjects and archaeology which is one of my other great passions.

American History is a very important part of who we are as a people. i often say that if you do not know where you came from you do not know yourself. Of the books that I have written, one in particular touched on a combination of ancient, European and American history. As an amateur historian, I especial like regional, Oklahoma and American history as a subject and just for general knowledge: American Revolution, Civil War, Reconstruction, Old West, and 20th Century history and politics.

Chemistry

From a very young boy I looked up in wonder at the stars and planets, and at one point expected to grow up to be an astronomer or astrophysicist. I still revel in the subject and the impact it has had on civilization over the last 6,000 years.

Geography

Geography has also come very easy to me. Since the time that I was a child I was enamored with maps for their power to hold hidden knowledge. Much like treasure maps I find all maps and knowledge of my surroundings and unique locations around the globe vitally important to who I am. As a world traveler, I have visited many of those places as well, and know the variety of cultures.

Japanese

Japanese is at the core of my linguistics curriculum. The techniques that I use in training my students in linguistics stems from the pronunciation of vowel sounds in the Japanese language. World History

I am an amateur historian and have written a book on the subject and designed board games based on world history. The changes which have occurred over the last 5,000 years in the timeframe of Man is but a drop in the ocean, but the developments that have come to be have shaped the world in which we live today.

Italian

For the last 20 years I have been teaching French, Spanish and Italian with a method I developed while living and working in France. I technique I call inter-lingual phonetics, a method to learn how to pronounce foreign language words properly and fluently. This basis for teaching Italian works incredibly well and transformed hundreds of my students over the last 2 decades into multi-linguists, and you can too!

During my college years at the University of Tulsa, I was a student teacher in Economics, and taught both Macro and Microeconomics classes. Art History

While obtaining my degree in International Business Management and Marketing from the American Univ. of Paris, I followed a cultural history track for my electives which included French Cultural History, French Architecture, and Art History. Our classrooms where the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay museums in Paris. I studied in particular the French artists from 1700-1920 AD. Besides being top in my class I found it very interesting and something I still cherish.

Marketing

After 25 years in Business and an International Business Management degree from the American University of Paris with a focus in Marketing, I have taught numerous courses and tutored on the college level in Marketing. AFOQT

I have been teaching the AFOQT and ASVAB for the last 2 years, and the Air Force Officer Exam for the last year. I augment my AFOQT instruction with additional GRE ACT ASVAB and TOEFEL practice books. Most of the AFOQT comes from the ASVAB-- the math and verbal, science are all the same, the only major parts that differ-- block counting, rotating, and hidden figures are taught through a tutorial, and Aviation and Instrument reading I teach through the Private Pilot Test Prep.

Classics

With my background in languages I have always had a curiosity for ancient history, languages and literature. The Iliad, the ancient Hindu texts, even the Qabalah. All of these texts have one common strand, that of literary expression of an ancient civilization and its view of religion and man's place in the universe. As a result I read the classics, and have a rudimentary knowledge of Ancient Hebrew, Greek and Latin from my studies since college.

Architecture

While attending university in Paris I had the pleasure to study French architecture from the Romanesque to the Modern period. This course of study was done sur place in and around famous structures throughout Paris and touched on Roman, Gothic, High Gothic, Neo-Classical, Baroque, Style Empire, late 1800's, Art Deco and modern architecture. Though most of my education on the subject is on the history of architecture, we also covered the basics of public architectural style and form.

Spanish

For the last 20 years I have been teaching French, Spanish and Italian with a method I developed while living and working in France.
