Hello!
My name is Clint, and I am probably different from most math and science tutors and teachers you'll ever have because I am also a professional performer, director, and trainer in improvisational (improv) comedy and theater. On the technical side, I am a graduate of the Oklahoma School of Science and Math (OSSM), and hold a Bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma, with many electives in Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry.
Math and comedy are two subjects often thought of as innate and unteachable, so I guess I specialize in making the most challenging and fearful subjects accessible, digestible, and fun. Whatever your learning style, if there is not a ready analogy, checklist, process, or mental picture to help you, we can find one!
For ten years I have been teaching students and adults of all ages across the country in regular classes, workshops, and corporate training how to organize their thoughts, master their negative emotions, and apply their training in high-stress and uncertain performance conditions.
In additional to my regular teaching at OKC Improv, local schools, and businesses, I teach Summer Youth Technology Center courses in Algebra, and Memory & Study Techniques, and have tutored English over the internet to foreign students.
As a teacher I am flexible, interactive, and entertaining. I am good at identifying strengths, weaknesses, and critical stopping points in order to keep you positive and learning in your challenge zone.
I look forward to working and laughing with you.
