I graduated in May of 2012 with a degree in Microbiology from Miami University-Oxford. I took several advance courses in biology including: Cell/molecular biology, medical bacteriology, genetics (human and bacterial), microbial ecology, immunology, microbial physiology and virology. I have also taken numerous chemistry courses (organic and general), biochemistry (non-major) and introductory physics (non-major) classes.
I have previous tutoring experience in physics, chemistry and molecular/cellular biology during my undergraduate coursework. I have learned through my tutoring experience how to present the material in several different ways to help individualize the material for each person. I also take into account individual difficulties of each client. I am quick at adapting to each persons needs and developing the best strategy to help them learn. I however, will also pay attention to study habits and different study techniques as they differ for each person. I find it very important for the clients to set-up a study plan with me and urge them to practice on their own for it is important for understanding the subjects! I will be open for clients to email me if they have urgent questions about material. I will ask that this is limited to urgent questions only and be aware that I rarely ever give actual answer! It is most important for me to guide you to the correct answer for yourself. (So no answer seeking for finishing homework!)
