Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Special Needs

I have taught Title 1 1st-8th grade for four years, a 7th and 8th grade intervention Math class for 2 years, a Special Education 3rd and 4th grade math and reading class for one year, worked as an ESL support teacher for 2 years and am currently teaching an Ohio Graduation Test support class. That equals 9+ years of teaching special needs in the public school setting. As well, I have 12 hours of graduate credit hours in Special Education and have passed the Special Education Praxis test.
