My son was failing Algebra 1 and was quickly losing confidence. After a month of 2 sessions per week with Bethany he has pulled his failing grade up to a C+ (and is no longer as nearly intimidated by the subject). Bethany is currently tutoring my son Nathan to prepare him for his upcoming geometry class. She is patient, understanding and takes the time to make sure he understands the material. She put together a nice plan that emphasizes the key parts of the text and should prepare my son nicely for geometry.

My daughter was having great difficulty with high school geometry. She needed more individual instruction and someone to explain complex problems in a way she could understand. Bethany has done a great job in doing that. She is very patient and really good at focusing on the more difficult concepts during their time together. My daughter was not excited about having a math tutor, but once she worked with Bethany a few times she really liked her and gained more confidence in doing her home work and in taking quizzes and tests. We will be continuing tutoring with Bethany over the summer. I would highly recommend Bethany as a math tutor.

We originally brought Bethany on as a math tutor to help our son who has struggled with math for years. After just a few sessions, he had really bonded and connected with her better than he had with any tutor before (and we have tried many). When I asked him what the difference was, he said that she was young enough to have been taught in the same way he was supposed to learn, and could actually explain the method to him - as opposed to the adults we had used in the past and who taught him in a completely different way.
Bethany has also shown willingness and versatility by offering to help with other subjects outside of math.
We highly recommend Bethany.

I cannot speak highly enough about Bethany. My wife and I are both highly educated and consider ourselves a fairly decent judge of professional competencies and character in someone, and Bethany has exceed all of our expectations and then some. Our grade school son struggles conceptually with some of the more difficult math concepts and Bethany has been able to break it down, communicate it in such a way where he gets it, and his quiz and test scores went from C's to A's. While we don't expect miracles, we know our son is in very capable hands with Bethany. Bethany has always been very responsive and proactive in communicating, scheduling, etc. Moreover, she is a pleasure to be around, she is genuinely a nice person and you can tell she cares greatly about what she does and it shows. Bethany is very low key, but direct, which is a great combination when it comes to communication skills. Our son really likes Bethany and feels totally comfortable around her as well -- that is very important as well.
If there were a way to give Bethany beyond an A+, we would!

I cannot begin to explain how much Bethany has helped my daughter. I found Bethany through WyzAnt to tutor my 15 year old daughter in Algebra 2 and it has been a wonderful experience.
