Hi, and thanks for visiting my page! I am a highly qualified public school teacher and new mom and that has recently resigned from my classroom position so that I can stay home with my child during the day. I am looking to start tutoring students in the evenings to continue to utilize my educational degree as well as use my teaching skills to help out kids in the process! Some of my teaching experience includes, but is not limited to, kindergarten and third grade general classroom teacher, instructing students with reading difficulties in grades K-5, experience with teaching Everyday Math, an endorsement in both reading (K-12) and grades 4-5, being a member of my public school district's curriculum planning committee, conducting frequent school-wide tests of reading fluency and pre-reading skills (DIBELS, WRAP, KRA-L), and attending a wide variety of education workshops (ex. ADHD, classroom management, teaching styles and strategies).
If you are looking for a qualified educator that can make learning meaningful and enjoyable for your child, as well as see your child start to gain confidence and grow as a learner, I would love to help! If you have any questions or concerns, or would like additional documentation or qualifications, feel free to contact me anytime. I hope to hear from you soon!
