I recently decided to find a tutor to help me with ACT math. I was trying to get into a competitive school and my ACT was nowhere near what it needed to be. Before going to Aaron, I had a 20 on the math section of the ACT. I was nervous about getting a tutor at first. I am very hard to teach new concepts to and I never thought it would be possible to find someone who could teach me well. I was surprised after getting tutored by Aaron because I have never had even a teacher teach me as well as he does. He broke down the math concepts for me, so I would understand the meaning behind the topic and not just the answer. He was also very patient when I did not understand something and took time to explain. After several weeks of getting tutored, I received a 26 on my math ACT! That is more than I could have ever asked for! He is a great tutor!

Our son Adam really enjoyed the lesson with Dr. Aaron. He was able to gain valuable insight into how the math problems were done.

Dr. Aaron was patient and made Adam feel comfortable. We look forward to our next lesson!!

I cant say enough good things about Aaron. He has helped my daughter overcome her fear of physics. She passed her last test with a 95! He is great at tailoring the lessons to meet my daughter's needs and is willing to take the extra time to make sure she understands. And he is very flexible in when he can help with tutoring working around my daughter's school and extracurricular activities. I would recommend him to anyone who is struggling with Physics.

Aaron is now helping my daughter with her Calculus and again was very flexible as to when he could help her. He is a very patient and encouraging tutor. He writes down all the examples they work on so my daughter can take them home to review. She is very comfortable with his teaching style and it works for the both of them. Check him out if your child needs help with Physics or Calculus!

I am NOT a mathematics/physics/engineering major, but Aaron made the calculus I wanted to understand a much more approachable subject than it had been before.

The great thing about Aaron is that he can adapt to whatever level you are currently on and whatever goals you set, and is able to teach it at a realistic pace. He taught me to enjoy and explore the material. Always easy to get in touch with. He takes this very seriously, but you'll be hard pressed to find somebody who enjoys physics as much as he does! He knows what he's doing. Sign up whether you need a little extra guidance, review, or some fun with numbers.

Aaron is very patient, and is excellent at breaking down concepts into smaller, more easily understood components. His enthusiasm for the subject is infectious, and it makes my daughter even more enthusiastic about math than she already is. He's a natural teacher!

Aaron has been an excellent tutor. He is not only a great teacher but also challenges my student to do his best. His strategy is very effective. My student got the confidence he needed to take off again. After meeting with Aaron a couple of times, my student got an awesome grade for the quarter!

In addition, Aaron is very reliable and very flexible. He never gets upset if you need to cancel or change schedules. He works with you! He has never cancelled appointments with us. I am very grateful for his professionalism and for his kindness. We need more Aarons. He is very busy but stills makes time for all his students. Amazing tutor. For 4/16/14 I was unable to give him my official feedback because we were out of town. He deserves his 5 stars!

Aaron is clearly the right person in the right place at the right time! Our daughter is benefiting from the tutoring because she is getting her home work done at school. She happens to be at a school where there is study hall time and without the tutoring she was spending a lot of time talking with other students trying to understand the material. She now is understanding and her grades are reflecting this. She also is no longer complaining about the subject.

I notice another feature of having a skilled teacher with work experience in the subject area. Our daughter is planning on a technical future and was concerned with understanding the physics material because, she said something to me like "I need to understand this" and what a wonderful attitude for a high school student! Aaron has just the right blend of professional work AND teaching skill to work with a student that really is concerned about learning the material.

Last thing to mention. My daughter makes notes, both written and mental, about things she wants to ask Aaron in their weekly sessions. I draw the conclusion from this that she values his approach because I think she was going to ask some math questions as well as physics. Clearly, his teaching is having a powerful positive impact!

It is apparent that all that is required is more of the same high quality teaching she is receiving!

Thanks for the very fine work.

Aaron is very knowledgeable about the information brought to him during tutoring sessions. He prods the student constantly to ensure you understand the material, which is helpful in the long run. His advanced level of understanding and ability to communicate this knowledge leads to further success for the student in the classroom setting or independent study.

I'm so glad we found Aaron to provide tutoring to our son for college calculus 3. Our son is a student at Sinclair and while he was able to pass Calc 1 and 2, he started to really struggle in Calculus 3. When I reached out to Aaron, he responded very quickly and answered all of my questions. He promptly worked my son into his schedule and now my son is receiving regular help from Aaron with calculus. Aaron has been able to quickly assess what areas our son was weak on and go back and focus on those areas so that our son can eventually move forward with calculus, and eventually his future engineering courses. My son reports that Aaron is an excellent teacher and I honestly don't think my son would have been able to move forward with his goals in engineering without Aaron's help. We will continue using Aaron's services and would highly recommend him to anyone considering the need for a tutor. The candid feedback we receive from Aaron after each lesson allows us to validate how our son is responding to the tutoring, and monitor our son's compliance with Aaron's assignments, which is very much appreciated when dealing with college-aged students. If you're really considering a tutor, Aaron is a professional.

Aaron responded to my initial query extremely quickly, which was very important as I needed assistance for an upcoming exam. We were able to schedule right away and Aaron was very mindful about my schedule and needs. As I have never engaged this type of service before and was rather nervous (and admittedly feeling a bit disappointed in my academic progress), this highly positive first interaction made a big difference.

Aaron is a true educator. He really does go above and beyond what I expected, which demonstrates very clearly how much he cares about his profession and clients. In addition to exercising patience and offering clear guidance, which I greatly value, Aaron is also a genuinely caring person (e.g., he followed up with a quick text after my exam to see how it went). I highly recommend Aaron: he is an expert in physics, has varied and valuable experience as an educator, and is a patient, thoughtful, and honest person.

We just took with him just one session, but it is looking good. He has a big knowledge in each section of the science.

I would recommend Aaron B. to anyone and everyone. He is full of knowledge and is very willing and capable of sharing his talents. I was seeing a very dim light at the end of the tunnel and after one lesson I was enjoying my homework again. Thank you very much!

I called Aaron after my daughter, a Jr. in college, had trouble on her first 2 calculus tests. She never took a Pre-Calc class and had not had Algebra in over 3 years. It was looking a little bleak and she really needed this class as a pre-req. for her other classes next semester. I explained our situation and Aaron assured me there would be a "light at the end of the tunnel."

Aaron was very quick to set up tutoring sessions that worked around my daughter's schedule. On the first test after working with Aaron, my daughter improved by 2 letter grades! On the next test she received an A! When I congratulated my daughter on her test, she said, "It was all the tutor."

We both feel very lucky to have found Aaron. He takes pride in his work and in his student's success. Thank you Aaron!

Aaron takes the time to not only help you understand the material you are learning, but also takes the time to make sure you understand why your doing it. Very patient and understanding regardless of how well you know the material. Very flexible with his schedule other than his time he spends in class teaching. Well worth contacting if you are confused or have any hesitation you don't understand the material. Great guy, and great tutor!

We met Aaron for the first time last night. My son really loved his approach to AP Calculus and I enjoyed hearing the excitement in his voice about getting help from Aaron. We look forward to moving forward and getting a better understanding of my sons needs. I felt the feedback was wonderful from Aaron and he really kept my son on track through the whole lesson.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a wide and diverse mathematical background. This makes me suitable for tutoring any of the mathematical topics covered on the ACT. Also, my teaching experience has honed my ability to explain these concepts in clear and concise terms.

I have an extensive tutoring background when it comes to algebra. I have tutored several personal friends through the entire college algebra course. Also, when I teach physics I have my students pay particular attention to the algebraic steps involved in their problems. As a practicing physicist I use algebra daily.

As a practicing physicist I use calculus all of the time. After all, calculus was actually invented by Newton in order to explain physical laws. I bring an intuitive point of view to this subject which complements the more formal content found in textbooks. With this perspective I hope to make clear the concepts of calculus by illuminating their practical applications. I have tutored many students in this subject over the years, both students taking formal calculus classes and those studying physics and being deficient in some area of calculus.

As a practicing physicist, I have constant contact with differential equations. I am familiar with all of the analytic methods typically covered in a differential equations course. Additionally, many of the differential equations encountered in the physical sciences are not amenable to an analytic solution. As such, I have extensive experience in the numerical approximation of the solution to these classes of equations. In summation, I am well qualified to help any student with their studies of differential equations.

Linear Algebra finds nearly ubiquitous application in physics. All subjects of physics incorporate this powerful mathematics in one form or another. This relationship of linear algebra to the physical sciences finds no greater example than that of quantum mechanics. Quantum mechanics is literally written in the language of linear algebra. As an atomic and molecular physicist I am intimately familiar with linear algebra. At the undergraduate level, not only did I take the linear algebra class required for my major, I also took a more advanced course on the subject that is usually taken only by math majors. In addition, I have taken two courses on the subject at the graduate level. I can aid anyone on their studies of this subject regardless of the level at which they are taking it.

Physics is not only my passion but is also my career. I have multiple degrees in the subject in addition to research and teaching experience. I have published 4 peer reviewed papers, mostly on computational chemistry and atomic and molecular physics. I have taught first semester calculus-based physics at Sinclair (PHYS 2201) as well as many recitation and lab classes. I'm considered adjunct faculty at both Sinclair and WSU. I can help with physics at all levels, including undergraduate physics major classes.

After all of the math that I've had over the years the concepts involved in prealgebra are quite basic to me. However, the ability to explain well these concepts can be difficult for even the most advanced mathematicians. That's where I feel that my teaching background helps me excel. I've learned from many years of experience the patience and guidance required for a good teacher. I'd love a chance to tutor you in prealgebra!
