My son worked with Pete for about two months leading up to the SAT. Our goal was to have Pete help my son improve his already very good score - esp. in reading. WOW is all I can say. Pete knows how to drill into the subtleties of questions and explain it back in a way no study guide could ever achieve. My son actually looked forward to Pete's sessions! Pete is a fantastic SAT math tutor. He teaches many different test taking strategies and ways to interpret problems. Pete places a focus on the quality, not quantity of work. He doesn't make the assumption that everyone loves math. As someone who has a stronger background in English, Pete's approach to explaining problems is very helpful.

I would highly recommend Pete for ACT/SAT tutoring. He was prompt to every appointment and very professional, yet easy going to work with. He quickly developed a good rapport with my daughter and was able to focus on her specific needs in a very patient and encouraging manner. Pete worked with my son for approximately 2 months prior to taking the ACT. My son had previously taken the ACT and did well on Math and English, but wanted to improve his scores especially in the Reading and Science sections. Pete provided some excellent strategies, and kept our son focused on what to work on each week by setting realistic weekly goals. Pete was very positive, direct and was wonderful to work with. We looked for another tutor after the first highly and sought after tutor was not working out well at all. He jumped right in to address the areas that needed the most attention, set up assignments that were realistic considering the very crazy schedule our daughter has and a timely review of the materials. Our daughter is taking her ACT in June and is has seen a very nice improvement in all of her practice tests. Pete is very professional and gives great tips and tricks along with the learning!
